About Liposuction 101

Liposuction 101 is an intensive introduction to the tumescent technique for liposuction totally by local anesthesia, an ideal office surgical procedure. This three day course, with enrollment limited to twelve surgeons, is taught by Jeffrey Klein, M.D., the inventor of tumescent liposuction. The course teaches techniques for infiltration of tumescent local anesthesia, tumescent liposuction using microcannulas, pharmacology of tumescent lidocaine, and a thorough discussion of potential complications.
The course is intended for dermatological surgeons, gynecological surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, maxillo facial surgeons, plastic surgeons, and other cosmetic surgical specialists who wish to learn to do liposuction in the safest possible fashion. Liposuction 101 is a combination of seminar and in-the-OR-experience. Didactic lectures and slide presentations cover much of the material in Dr. Klein’s new book Tumescent Technique (published in 2000, by Mosby).
